Eventorum is Latin for “of events.” Eventorum is the online current events journal of Pacific Union College. Run by the Department of History, this journal is staffed by student writers, of diverse majors, who want to lend their voices and perspectives to information and conversations about recent and current events shaping the globe. These students are not getting any course credits for participating. They are writing because they feel awareness of international events is important and they want to participate in creating a better-informed PUC community. Pacific Union College is a Seventh-Day Adventist liberal arts college tucked into the forest-clad hills above California’s Napa Valley. The views and perspectives in the articles are those of the authors themselves and are no way reflect an official position of PUC as an institution.
